The Modra family visit the farm

The weekend past saw the Modra family visit the farm 

Freya and Isla had a fun day and Mum & Dad have some beautiful photos to remind them of the occasion

Freya got to ride a cow 

and tramp in the paddocks

 

We lit the wood fired pizza oven for lunch and the weather was perfect!

Autumn - a beautiful time in the Scenic rim

Don't you just love this time of year?  Here, at home in the Scenic Rim, the mountains are so clear and are starting to get that wonderful blue colouring that they take on in winter. 

I love the surprises I sometimes get in my early morning walk around the garden -

Autumn is a great time for walking in the Scenic Rim region so if you don't already have some Easter plans why not head to one of our National Parks for a walk? You may run into my early morning visitors!  For those who think Easter is about rest and relaxation, we have plenty of wineries and cafes to sit in and enjoy the sunshine and pass the time of day.

A new beginning

After twelve years as a local government councillor, the end is in sight and I am busy planning my new career.  Local government elections are on 28th April for those who don't know, and you should be checking out your candidates right now! I will be taking my vote seriously and I encourage you to do likewise!  


Anyway, on to the next step in my life. I have always loved being creative and ran a clothing label before local government called. 


 Something else I have loved for a long time is photography and what has been an absorbing hobby is about to become something more.  I am lucky to live in a beautiful location, just one hour from Brisbane, and I have been busy polishing up my camera skills over the last few months.
