Charlson sister's family photos

Today's task was to photograph four little children who are all cousins - Amelie & Ethan are brother and sister, and Josh & Nate are their cousins.  Four children under three and a half was a challenge! I did wonder if we would get them all together at one time, Josh especially is a young man on a mission and doesn't have much time to wait.  Here he is making his first escape attempt -

However they are gorgeous children who are obviously used to spending a lot of time together and are very loving towards each other and as you can see, are also very photogenic.

Amelie is especially loving to her cousins and loves handing out hugs to them

There was time after the shoot to get the mums and dads together for a group photo, however it did make me think that maybe it was time to look for a faster camera lens!

Winter in the Scenic Rim

Winter is such a beautiful time in the Scenic Rim and after two good seasons the wild life is abundant.  Here are some photos taken out and about in the last couple of weeks.  The panorama is from the Governor's Chair near Aratula, a truly spectacular view of the Scenic Rim.  The wild life can be found in lots of places around the region.  I suggest you visit and see what you can discover for yourself!

Rodeo

Went to a fabulous rodeo on Friday night, the riders are so skilled and we really appreciated their efforts.  I also appreciated being able to practice some more with my Canon L100-400 lens.  It is super super sharp  and has such great reach, I love it.

Little Stella Christina

I got to do a baby shoot today.  Little Stella Christina was born on 4th April 2012 and was starting to become quite alert by the time I took these photos.

As soon as I arrived I could see that Stella's parents were very stylish people who loved black & white with touches of red.  Those who know me will know that that is just how I see the world so it was a pleasure to be able to produce some photos in my favorite colours!.

I loved the affirmation that was hanging in Stella's room - and so did she

Mark & Melissa

On Saturday I had a wonderful time taking Mark & Melissa's engagement photos.  Mark & Melissa were having a party to celebrate the announcement later that afternoon but we managed to sneak away from all the preparations to take a few photos.  The venue was Mark's parents property at Minden and there were some wonderful locations to choose from.

First we started with the old shed which was a wonderful backdrop -

Then we moved to the two large rubber trees that had obviously been there for a long time and were just perfect for a twosome...

Next we moved to take in the excellent views of the Minden range that can be seen from the property

Wallace has been part of Mark & Melissa's life for most of their time together so of course he had to be included and obliged by giving one of his best smiles [Wallace has his own Facebook page, you can find him on Wallace Feedmetwotimes]

and finally we moved on to a special place for Mark & Melissa - the hill in the background of these photos is were Mark proposed and Melissa said "yes"  These photos were taken with my wonderful 100-400L series Canon lens.

I loved taking these photos of you both Mark & Melissa and can't wait to do the wedding next year!
